By accessing or using ClankerRank ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. Signing in with GitHub constitutes your acceptance of these terms and our Privacy Policy.

ClankerRank is a competitive prompt engineering platform where users write natural-language prompts to solve programming challenges. The platform uses AI models to generate code from user prompts, then executes that code against automated test suites to produce scores and ratings. The Service is provided for educational and entertainment purposes. The platform may also send opt-in email notifications about new problems, weekly recaps, and streak reminders to users who explicitly consent.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ClankerRank and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or bugs in test cases, scoring, or ratings
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any interruption or cessation of the Service
• Any code generated by AI models through the Service
• Any other matter relating to the Service

6. Test and scoring accuracy

Test cases, scores, ratings, leaderboard positions, and all related metrics are provided for educational and entertainment purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of test results, scores, or ratings. Test cases may contain errors, edge cases may be missing, and scoring algorithms may change without notice. No decisions should be made based solely on ClankerRank scores or ratings.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to access the Service beyond normal usage
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Circumvent rate limits or other usage restrictions
• Submit prompts designed to produce malicious, harmful, or illegal code

8. Intellectual property

• Your prompts: You retain ownership of the prompt text you write and submit to the Service.
• Generated code: Code generated by AI models is subject to the terms of the underlying AI provider (Anthropic). ClankerRank does not claim ownership of generated code.
• Platform content: Problems, test cases, scoring algorithms, and other platform content are the property of ClankerRank and may not be reproduced or redistributed without permission.
• Community solutions: By using the Service, you agree that your prompts and generated code may be visible to other users who have solved the same problem.
• Platform improvement: By using ClankerRank, you agree that your prompts and submissions may be used to improve the platform.

9. Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include but are not limited to violation of these terms, abusive behavior, or actions that compromise the integrity of the platform. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClankerRank and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. For material changes, we may notify you through the platform.

12. Governing law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action.
